Lyman equivalent pilots

Hi
I have an old Lyman case trimmer. It did not come with .26 pilot, but for some reason the "new" lyman pilots have slightly thinner shafts than the ones that came with the trimer originally. Due to that slight difference, the "new" lyman .26 pilot wont center properly in the trim head, and therefor has a slight wobble when rotating the handle.

Anyone know where I can get hold of the older pilots, or perhaps another brand that has the same diameter as the old lyman pilots?

I will update this thread when I get home with the actual measurements of the old/new pilot shafts.

“Good” pilots measure .135” shaft diameter and .494” long, new”bad” pilots measure .139” and is only .365” long, so the new ones are actually thicker and shorter than the old pilots.

Any idea where I can still get old pilots or pilots from another manufacturer that would be compatible? RCBS does not work...

If only I knew someone with a lathe...

I'm gonna try gripping the pilot in my drill chuck and use sand paper to see if I can evenly shave off to the .135" - if I mess it up, it's not really a loss - it's crooked as it is, so not usable anyway.
