Anyone have issue with Leupold scopes not tracking? Input 2min left at 600yds and nothing. THAT SHOULD BE 16", added another 1/2min and the point of impact jumped way over to the left. From that point it was all over for Sully at the IBS shoot.

Feedback? Fix?

I observed that happen to my partners 6.5-20 Leupold at a tactical match a couple of years ago. His immediate remedy was to dial the scope over about twice the amount wanted and then come back to the desired setting.

That method got him through the competition, but I can't tell you any more than that as the scope went back to Leupold the next business day. They repaired it, but it could never be trusted again and was quickly replaced by an NXS.

Some shooters have said that this problem happens from lack of use, and that an hour spent in front of the TV spinning the turrets back and forth while viewing some mindless reality show will prevent the adjustments from sticking.

Sully, if you’re not shimming for elevation, you may, at 600 yards, be getting close to the limits of the scope. That could cause the problems you had with vertical adjustment.
