Lt.Col. Jeff Cooper

Anyone have a source or info on the military career of Jeff Cooper other than Wikipedia? WWII and Korea.
Thanks

Much obliged to the replies. My interest was in finding detail regarding Korea and SouthEast Asia, in particular "irregular" warfare and as to where this was. Looked all over without luck...especially for a photo in uniform from the early 50's.
Thanks again

Can't quote a source for more information, but, having been schooled in a number of different courses at the old Gunsite, I can tell you this:

Yes, he did serve during WWII and the Korean Era. He led men into battle and he won. The title "Col." or Lt.Col. are not appropriate to Mr. Cooper as he was very aware of protocol, and having resigned his commission as Lt.Col. (as opposed to having retired at that rank) he was, by his own admission, simply "Jeff Cooper" or Mr. Cooper. You might try a search for his daughter. She would probably be the best source for the information you are seeking.

You'll find archive of Jeff Coopers Commentaries here:

some info here, but some links not working:

Was my idol growing up - reading his articles got me started in hunting with a handgun. Had many of great days in the field with my Model 27 S&W 357 magnum hunting groundhogs and white tail.

While its more oriented to his shooting exploits than his military background, I think the pages on the FR Frog site is the best Jeff Cooper resource I know of (scroll to the bottom of the page): http://www.frfrogspad.com/
