LT-32 and 6MM BR Usage

Has anyone tried using LT-32 with their 6MM BR? I am especially interested in short range use with 65-68 g bullets.

Thanks,

Ed

Not yet...but if the LT32 I purchased ever shows up I will be trying some 60-70gr bullets. ..66gr Fowlers, 66gr Ropers, 66 Conders, 62 Knights, 64 Bergers, 70 SMK, 68 Barnes...

It shoots well in my PPC . I only recently tried it in my 6BR with that I normally shoot in score matches , and it shot very well . That rifle is currently out of service as I'm converting that rifle to 30 BR and will be trying LT-32 in it . Loads for LT-32 in 6BR with 65-70gr. bullets start at 26.6g and top out at 29.9g . I understand that Les Bruno won the Cactus Classic in Phoenix this year using LT-32 .

It is a new Accurate powder made by Western Powders .

I just picked up a pound of LT-32 to try in my XP-100 in 6mmBR. I will be shooting 65 V-Max's out a 15" 1-13.5 twist barrel.

I downloaded the LT-32 load data PDF from Accurate powder website. Not sure if this is a typo or not, but its listing a starting load with 65 v-max's at 29.3 and max load at 29.9. This sure sounds like a super narrow charge window.

Anyone else shooting 65 v-max's out of their 6BR with this powder?

I plan on starting with...
28.0 and work up to 30.0

That is not a typo , I checked with Western powder , and they don't want to post anything too optimistic . There are too many different barrels , chambers , bore sizes , etc. out there ! I can understand their concern . Hint , it's a very conservative window! You can use H-4198 data per their technician that answered my first question on it , but in my opinion not really . I find it somewhere like N-133 , which is what they hope to accomplish with it , IMHO .

…every bullet weight with a 3gr window except the 65’s that has a .6gr window? Seems odd…not arguing…but odd.
