LT 30 in a 6PPC

I shot LT32 in a 6ppc for a while and liked it but it really likes to be run hot and is a little hard on brass, a friend of mine shot the LT30 in St Louis and ruined a set of cases half way through the match and then went back to N133. I also know some guys that shoot LT31 which is the two mixed, I mixed some of it up and have shot it in one match. I absolutely agree with all the guys I know that are using the stuff and say it is easy to keep in tune, up or down no more than 3 to 4 tenths, it makes good velocity and is easy on cases. It has also shot some very good aggs. I live out west in a dry climate and don't know how it does back East.

LT30 Update!

Over the past few months I've shot a good bit of LT30. It is hot hot hot! I don't recommend anyone using it with out a good scale! It's hot enough that a couple of tenths can throw you out of tune! It doesn't seem any harder on cases as anything else Ive used as long as you use reasonable loads.

Ive found it fairly easy to keep in tune. I've shot it in 3 matches so far and its done very well for me. It helped me win the Mississippi Valley Regionals 4 Gun, won the IBS Nationals Sported Grand and 2nd at the East West! So I like it!

Granted I haven't tried it out west yet and that is a horse of a different color!

yes, zombie thread, i know... but...

was just about to order several lbs from midsouth, on sale for $39.99 with free hazmat, but checking the burn rate chart, then running across this thread saved me some cash. Especially Bart's comment above.

So there you have proof... zombie threads ARE useful.
