LR F-class match at Harris June 9 & 10

There will be a Long Range F-class and traditional highpower match at Gopher Rifle and Revolver Club in Harris MN, on June 9 & 10. F-class shooters are welcome at the match, although the match bulletin does not state this. PM here is you have any questions regarding the match and I would be happy to help you.

Here is the match bulletin is at http://mrra.org/downloads/grrc/2012_LR_Regional.pdf

I look forward to seeing some of you guys/gals at the match,

wade

I'll be there. Need to get a 1000 yard zero for my "any" rifle before hand. Your 1k f-class league shoots thursdays at 5, correct? I'll need to try to make it to this week's or next...

Thanks,
Erik

my rifle isn't ready for this, and I know my skill isn't, but I might show up to watch and get an idea of what it's like.

Eric and other shooters,

Yes, the Thursday night F-class starts at 5:00 PM and is open to any high-power shooters F-class or traditional sling shooters. The nightly cost is $8 for members and $10 for non-members.

I try to be as flexible as I can with timing so if you cannot make it at 5:00 we have a ot of light at this time of year and work to get all shooters shooting.

my .284 is here so it looks like i'll make it this weekend. maybe thursday night as well. scully.

I'll be up with another shooter. Both of us NEW to F Class....... Any tips ? BTW the weatherman says it's gonna be a BIT WARM ............

Coming to the F-class league tonight at Harris would be the best advice I can give you as this will get you a 1,000 yard zero and a practice run on a match. We start shooting at 5:00 PM, the directions are on the match bulletin. Ideally, you would have say a 600 yard zero on your gun before stepping to the 1,000 yard line in a match. Diligent use of a ballistics solver like JBM will probably get you on paper from your 600 yard zero.

Also keep in mind that everyone shooting has had their first match, we all have to start somewhere.

Wade,
By some alignment of the stars, or the fact that I brought a nasty cold home from Alaska for my wife to catch, she has told me to go shoot this weekend. I will email Mark that I am coming too.

Weather sounds like fun..... I dropped .5 grains on my load just to be safe as I don't know how well it will handle 90 degrees. Another lesson learned one way or the other.
