Long Range Regional Match at Harris MN

We are having a long range match at Gopher Rifle and Revolver Club's range in Harris MN. The match is open to all High Power shooters, so sling and F-class shooters are welcome.

We have a weekly long range shooting league on Thursday nights so if you are local to Harris and would like to get some practice stop by, shooting starts at 5:00 PM.

The Thursday night shoots are a great way to get your zeroes and learn the range. We like to have folks on the line ready to shoot at say 5:15 but are pretty open to people showing up later than that. We work hard to get everyone shooting and I do not think we have turned anyone away in 4 years. At times if someone shows up real late they may have to shoot an abbreviated course of fire of 10-15 shots to save some time.

I am thinking about coming out Thursday evening if I can get out of Work early enough - its a 2 hour drive for me. I would like to gets some zeros and give it a go for the open sight competition next week end. Unfortunately I can't commit yet, but will try to make it happen.

Tried to talk one of my buddies into it today , but no luck. Took the day off today to work on rifle set up - I hope I can pull it all together on Thursday. I am struggling to make a transition from SR to MR. Too many damn set up adjustments for a comfortable position and good sight picture. Probably should have tried some mid range prone matches first before jumping into LR, but timing of weather and other family activities leaves few opportunities to get out.

Wish I could make it out with the rest of the people from ERSC. Sounds like a lot of FUN. Oh well just have to make it up there some Thursday's instead. ;D

The results will be coming, but I can say right now that the result for Sunday was lots of rain and no shooting.
