Low Node with Berger 144 & 153

Wondering if anyone has tested
Lower charge weights sub 41.00
grains in 6.5 Creedmoor with heavier bullets.

I've got a 7.5 twist 30" Kreiger
Lapua small primer
H4350
Berger 144, Sierra 150, Berger 153
Fed primers

Wondering if you ever found the low node and what your velocities were. I have a new Bartlein 30" 5R in 6.5 CM that I am just now starting ladder tests. First one was not great but I don't think it was seasoned yet. Also using Lapua small primer, H4350 but have N160/N550/N555 to try with 142SMK, Berger 144/153.5. 205M is my go to but have others to use if needed.

I’ve chambered probably a dozen 6.5 CM barrels for a good friend. 153’s with H4350 shoot well in the 2780-2825 range. That is the higher node. Can’t help with a lower node.

I'm shooting 150 Sierras from 30"
in similar range. Have you seen anything note worthy with respect to lengths from 28-32 inches?

The last time I shot 150SMK’s was out of a 6.5x55 Ackley. I was looking for a high node in the 2900’s and they were turning into grey puffs before they made it to the target so I gave up on them. Everyone else I know gave up on them for F Class too.

The high node in the 6.5 CM with 153.5/156 Bergers is a pretty small charge of H4350. My 26" barrel likes the area around 40.5 and is "warm" at that. Velocity is right at 2700. OAL is 2.920ish, Lapua large primer brass...

Following the 4% rule of thumb, we would be looking at a charge for the low node of about 38.9. Target velocity would be 2600 ish.. The problem is that there starts to be too much empty space in the case. If we go below 80% fill in the case, there is an increased risk of detonation.

It is at that point where I would be trying other powders. H4831sc or RE23 might do the job, but I don't have any test data for either in this cartridge.
