Low(er) velocity node for straight 6BR

Just an exercise in curiosity... Using a 107 SMK it seems that ~30 of Varget is a very common node for excellent accuracy. I am wondering if there are any other common nodes at lower charges for this combination? As a Silhouette shooter I shoot standing offhand so a couple of tenths better is not an absolute requirement but accuracy is always appreciated. I am "thinking" that with a easy soft load my barrel life should be outstanding if I can make this work.....

I know this is outside the norm but am hoping that there is information that, while not the best solution for extreme accuracy and performance will help me in my quest.

The 2810fps node has always been a good one for me with 107s..I can push it faster but not as consistent.. Old powder was 30gns for 2810 new powder is 29.5-.6gns of Varget..

Even at 30 grains, wouldn’t that barrel last you many many years with the accuracy requirement you described?
I Shoot F-class with several folks who use the BR at mid-range, most are getting 2500-3000 with no noticeable reduction in x count. One friend @Thumper has nearly 4000 rounds on his barrel and he isnt dropping any points do to barrel wear.

A good cleaning regiment will provide more barrel life to a 6BR then will a small reduction in powder, in my experience.
Never leaving any carbon layer to be ran over, being the most important aspect to barrel life (IMO). Utilizing a bore scope for cleaning will point out all stubborn carbon that needs removed, besides honestly improving the efficiency in processes used.

Oh yeh, I have played around with this very thing all summer. The Sierra 107's shoot awesome at around 2550 fps to 2580 fps. I have some loads worked up but I'm currently at work.
