Lousy customer service Frankford Arsenal!

I’m sorry to hear about the op’s bad experience with customer service. A year or so ago I had to deal with them and it was quite a different experience. I had purchased their automated powder dispenser and scale. After a couple years of use it just quit working. Called them about possibly sending it in for repair. The gentleman was very polite and explained that they would send me a new one instead free of charge, I don’t think they repair them was the impression I was getting. The only issue was that they would not have any in stock for a few months. He asked that I send a picture of the sticker on the bottom which contained the serial number. A couple months later a box was on the steps. I had forgotten about the scale until I opened the box. Sure enough there was a brand new unit as promised. There must be a variety of service reps that work there. Wish your experience was similar to mine.

I had same issue as other member mentioned my try not flipping the primers.
I called them and they sent me a new one. Worked just as bad as the first one. The hand primer works great though

All the FA products i have, have worked flawlessly, and still do to this day. I`ve never had to call them for a warranty problem. I would hope if i ever needed their warranty service, that it will be a better experience than the OP had.
Yeah I’ve never had any issues with function or anything breaking. Just the one duplicate in a t-handle set that they resolved in an hurry and free of charge. All FA tools are really good for the price point. They used to be cheaper quality back in the day, but in the last 10 years or so they stepped it up. Now they are a brand I will buy without hesitation.

Been eyeballing this new F1 press they have out. My son wants to get into reloading and I think this would make a good starting platform

WOW !
I bought the same tool off of fleabay. The adjuster was frozen (would have been nice if the seller would have mentioned it).

I contacted FA and sent pics of the items I needed to repair. Told them it was used and I would pay for the parts.

They sent me a complete new one in a case with the tool, shell holders ... the works.

Edit: forgot to mention, it was free ...... no charge, not even for shipping

I had similar situation with their platinum tumbler. I was informed they they could sell me an entire drum but not the end cap. They are in the business to sell Chinese products but they can not service what they sell. No customer servic where their products are concerned.

I broke a spring on my crimp remover. When I called the guy (American super nice guy btw) said they didn't have any complete units there or he would send me one. Yes, he would have sent me a complete unit. But he did have a partial unit that had been scavenged for parts. So, he sent me a huge bag of parts including the spring I needed.

They don't manufacture the units there so they don't keep parts like Hornady, RCBS, and Redding would need to do on the things they make. Different animal. Right or wrong. Doesn't mean they don't try to service their customers.

RCBS and Hornady have import parts also. Their powder dispensers are a full replacement, for example.

I have the same tool and I like it a lot. If I dropped mine and I broke that tray, if I couldn’t duct tape it back together I would buy the whole kit again.

I got them to replace my cap under warranty about a month ago.

Think Frankford has some good ideas, some of the QC may be sketchy in the plants that make that stuff for them. It's cheap enough on some stuff that even if it kraps and they can't service it, depending on situation, I'd go get another one or go buy something better.

I don't have much FA equipment other than their universal bullet seater which is a real good die. Works great
I have two items from FA there both a little cheesier than top of the line stuff I guess ones a rotary tumbler the other is a vibratory gun for loading primer tubes they both work as they should and I don’t use either one very often so I’m golden.

I called and was on forever hold. Finally reached and they said they do not have replacement trays for sale.
Of course not. I'm so glad I got an RCBS Chargemaster rather than the Franklin powder throw, I figured since it was made in China they relied on parts to come from China also...how often does that work out good?

In contrast, I bought a used RCBS Summit press used, about 10 years ago, recently broke the handle resizing 8.6 blackout, the rep had a new handle out to me within a couple days. Talk about good customer service, that buys some points in my book.

I like my F-1, purchased from Bass Pro when on sale with military discount was $96 shipped. Only complaint I've read about is bearing noise, but it's nowhere near as loud as my "oh shit" when I charge a case with no primer!
