Lot testing in todays siuation

OK
CZ MTR varmint -check
Area 419 15 MOA mount- check
Arkin SH4 6x24 arkin rings- check
Next up, shoot and select ammo the rifle likes by MFG. and LOT
How do i do this?
Champions choice has most Eley and RWS some Lapua but no SK.
If I call them and ask for a brick or 2 boxes of Five diferent ammos and ask if they have a stock of
each ammo they send me by lot number will they be able to accomidate this request?
I can't think of another way to get this MAJOR step in getting the most out of this rifle done.
Please let a guy new to this know how other do this.

Thanks G

It sounds crazy but another option is to buy your ammo first then buy and sell MTR's until you find one that likes your ammo.
That's hilarious John, but it could be a viable route to go! "Check", you know!

Wouldn't be the first time I have seen someone testing barrels as opposed to testing ammo. o_O

I hardly ever post anymore, but couldn't resist quoting you. Later my friend.

I ran into this recently with a B14

Local store had a pile of Eley club and target among others.

I bought 100 rounds of each “target” ammo they had.

Luckily the Eley club shot the best.

I bought 10,000 rounds of it.

Once this is shot you I’ll go back to testing some other stuff or try find more Eley club.

Is a CZ MTR accurate enough to definitively choose between lots of the same ammo?!

Some lots of the same ammo will vary enough in performance that most barrels will show the difference between them.

At the same time, many lots will be similar to each other and differences between them may not be revealed with bores that have less perfect, less consistent bore characteristics. Another way to say this is that bores of lesser quality than others may be less able to accurately reflect differences between nearly equal lots of the same ammo.

In testing conditions, yes I believe the MTR and AT1 are for the most part able to distinguish between manufacturers and even given lots within a manufacturer. This whole picture gets obscured further however, when (if) the test is done with the stock on, or stock off............ then the rifle is sent back to the shooter who may or may not have the skills to shoot the rifle & ammo to its capability.
