LOP chassis for young shooter

Starting to build a rifle (in my mind) for the grandson. Was looking at the XLR Industries Carbon Chassis system. Is the tube that connects the buttstock & cheek piece to the stock removal? Replace with shorter tube and replace with the longer tube, when the shooter grows. Or add weight inside tube to balance the setup.
Any other chassis systems to consider?

I have fround that the mdt lss chassie or the lss xl chassis works great fro kids you can mount any ar style stock on them so the stock works great for kids or adults. With the ar tub u can add weight if needed and the offer there chassis for a lot of popular rifle models. The pic i attached i just looked it up of the net not my rifle but have helped many friend set up rifles for kids. Hope this helps.
