Looking to build a 7PRC

Looking to build a 7PRC, I was just wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on what action I should go with a defiance or a Bat, I’m gonna go with a manner stock. Then what are everybody suggestions on barrel more than likely I’ll go with a 22 inch suppressed. The rifle is gonna be used for hunting maybe try PRS and just a plinker toy.

I have built several of them on Defiance AntiX, TiX and Ruckus Hunter actions the last two years. Also, a few on Terminus Kratos actions which is my favorite. You cant go wrong with Bat, Defiance or Terminus, pick the features you want and move forward. Manners Pro Hunter and LRH are great as are the McMillan Mtn Tracker LR. AG Comp Hunter has been a good one IME as well. Most of the ones I have done are 22”, and 75% of those were carbon barrels. Personally, if I was watching weight, I would go with a 3 or 3B contour rather than carbon and spend the 400.00 I saved on something else. Bart, CRB, Kreiger, Brux, Benchmark and Proof would be brands I would consider in that order, but all have performed well for me. Im not sure you would like 7PRC for a PRS match, but it can be done. Spotting your own shots on targets will be somewhat a challenge. Also, think about your preferred bullet, the Saami chamber is built around the Hornady 175 class ELD bullets, and Bergers have the Ogive further toward the base, and a shorter free bore may be preferred. You may not use either brand bullet, but keep it in mind.

I also like the Anti-x from Defiance for a hunting platform.
If you plan to reload, I would find a gunsmith that has the Alex Wheeler 7prc reamer. It is a bit larger at the base of the case, and will help with clickers.
