Looking for two Vietnam Huey Pilots

I'm searching for two Huey Pilots from vietnam who are currently shooting competitively.

I would like to give a couple of special pilots a Christmas present from someone who knows what you did for our Country.

I know one chinook pilot from vietnam that competes and a post vietnam blackhawk pilot and an apache pilot that have flown about all post vietnam helicopters. What discipline shooters are you looking for?

Hi Dusty,

I have a couple of special barrel vises and I wanted to do something nice for a couple of chopper vets. I don't care what discipline as long as they need a barrel vise.

How about a Marine Slick pilot and then he went on to fly the F-4. After the Corp he went on to fly for Fed EX and is still shooting FTR and NRA High Power with a Service rifle.

During the war, my Brother had his arm shot off during a fire fight. Without any regard for his own safety a Huey pilot dropped down into the fire fight and rescued him and saved his life. It would mean a great deal to me personally if I can find a couple of pilots who at least trained in these birds.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would think that DocEd aka Eddie Harren might know of someone??? I know 2 who were Army but do not hunt, shoot etc. The one was like that you mentioned, go anywhere anytime. He had to have a flight suit made from spandex so he could get his complete ball sack in the seat/cockpit with him. He looked like a typical Walmart shopper long before there was a spandex clothed Walmart shopper!!!! After 2 tours and getting back home and wrecking 4-5 cars and a couple airplanes he changed occupations to driving 18 wheeler. He apparently didn't have a wabbit foot in his pocket but the complete wabbit along with a team of shod horses.lol

Bob, that is very special of you and. I have a close friend that lost both legs and other injuries as well. He never got into it to much but he always said the only thing he remembered was when they picked him up and all that hot brass landing on him and the pilot and crew saved his life as well. God bless you and all the great veterans of the USA.

You might try the American Huey 369 group, they have flights nearly every year at the Knob Creek Machinegun Shoot. Perhaps they could aid you in your search. Awesome bunch of fellows!
