looking for more power

i am currently shooting 100,200 and 300yd target, mainly paper, 24x is not quite doing what i am after at 200yds, i put one of my Sightron SIII 8x32x56 much better, so i am after another scope with just a bit more power, the only thing i see out there i see would be is the 10x50x60 SIII or the NF 12x42. any comments on either, i am hearing the SIII gets a little dark after 40x, back 10-15yrs ago seems like the 24x was fine, not cutting it anymore.

I just bought a Burris XTR II 8-40x50, but haven't had the chance to shoot with it yet. It has good clicks & glass and a great price point - ~$1030 street. Other very fussy shooters I've known like Burris, and the warranty can't be beat (lifetime, fully transferable, no proof of purchase needed). I have high hopes.

i am confident so far on the sightron 10x50x60, i mainly do paper target shooting, i currently have 2 8x32x56 with the LRD reticle, what reticle would be a wiser choice for my type of shooting

+1 on a floating Dot. And I also like them for everything (not just paper).
Note: I don't like a cross-haired dot at all.
