looking for a stock

I'm contemplating a target rifle build to get me started in mid to long range shooting. I am looking for a multi-purpose stock that can be good at most positions and informal bench or stationary varmint huning.

I currently like the straight taper by McGee which is the classic 3 position stock, but having never really handled stocks as such I just don't know what I don't know. Open to opinions.

Shurleybros has some low riders laminates they posted on here! It appears you would need to get them inletted but there price was like $250 or so.

Are you still looking for a McGee Straight Taper stock? I just upgraded my F-Class Winchester S.A and have a McGee in black/white laminate I would like to sell. Since your post is old, you may have solved your stock issue. If you are not in the market anymore, I'd appreciate a reply. Then I may list it for sale, but I thought I'd check with you first (your post was the only one that popped up on my search).
