Looking for a scope

I'm a sling shooter with aperture sights. Got a new Elisieo heading my way soon and a barnard action etc. Looking for a decent scope to test hand loads with. I'd love a NF but no way thats in the budget after spending what I did on the current build. Any opinions on the cheaper vortex? I'm looking for something I can use at longer ranges 600-1000 and for load development.

Would be happy with fixed if need be.
