Looking for a place to shoot longrange in S.E. GA

I am looking for a place in the SE Ga area, to shoot
600 to 1000yds. Would like to lease property to build a range on with the option to buy. I think we could use a range like that here for all of us Long Range enthusiasts. Even have matches, later on down the road.

Has a new 1,000 yd range just recently opened.

If you are looking for a place to shoot longe range your best choice is the Manatee Gun & Archery Club East of Bradenton, FL ,941-322-0055). The have everything from 100 yard Bench Rest to 1,000 yard. They shoot two 1,000 yd matches and one 500 meter match each month. Check their web site ']'. This is the only year around 1,000 range open to the public east of the Mississippi.

The cost of building and maintaining a 1,000 yard range is significant for the amount of time you get to use it.

Thanks, Manatee is 6.5 hrs away. You was talking about cost of the range. Do you operate one? And what are your main expenses?
I expect to start with a shorter range. Then expand. Club matches will be the first on the agenda. Fun shoots.. But I still have to find a place. I plan on going to a couple of the ranges mentioned. Like the one at Graham Fla.

Port Malabar Rifle & Pistol Club. www.pmrpc.com 5 mi west of I-95 at Palm Bay FL. They have a 20 position 600yd range along with many other ranges like cowboy, trap, sighting in ranges ect.
