If you haven't shot a Browning, yet, you may want to consider if that trigger will work for you.Looking for a Browning BL-22 lever action 22lr for bowling pin league. A Marlin 39A would work also. I am shooting in the semi auto class now and would like to try the mechanical class. PM me with what you might have.
Thanks,
Danny
I suggest spending the extra and get a Marlin 39A. The forearm is very friendly to the support from a front rest. If you determine you don't like that setup, there will be 5-8 guys ready to buy it from you without much effort. But you will likely appreciate it. The pumps are great, but the forearms are narrow, and you need to find one that allows for a scope mount. GLWS.Thank you for the response. I have not shot the Browning but have read and due question the trigger. If it is at 7-8 lbs., as I have read, that's not fun. We shoot bowling pin league in the winter for something to do. It's too darn cold to shoot outdoor ARA and varmint in northwest Iowa this time of year. My benchrest rifle triggers for outdoor are at 1-3 0z. I could live with a 2.5lb -3.5lb. free standing rifle trigger pull but 7-8lb is probably not acceptable. I have read where some smiths have gotten the BL-22 down to 3.5lb. but I don't know where to find a smith that could do that.
Really appreciate the input.
Thanks for all the input, guys. A pump would probably work fine. For whatever reason, I would prefer a lever action. One of our club shooters also recommended the 39A, if I could find one.
