Looking for a great gunsmith in Wisconsin

Hello all, I am fairly new to long range shooting and am looking for a great gunsmith to do some work on my 6mmbr savage. Anyonw know of a good gunsmith in Wisconsin for this type of work?

I have not had Jim See do any work for me. I have only bought something from him. He posts on this site. You could call him and discuss your needs with him.

I too have not had Jim do work for me, but I have shot next to him, talked with him, looked at his work and came away impressed. If I were in WI, I would be talking to Jim about my next build.... ;)

You can check out Randy Gregory in Medford WI, his shop is called Accuracy Unlimited. He came highly recommended,so I had had him barrel Barnard F-open gun for me. Randy is a world class Palma and long range shooter himself and knows his stuff. I haven't shot the rifle yet in a match, but load testing and chronographing went very well. With a a very good turn around time I can't believe you would be disappointed.

++++++ for Randy Gregory

I have had Jim See do work for me an the work was outstanding, for big boomers his line of Muscle muzzle brakes are the are my only choice. That being said Randy Gregory does great work also, I have shot against any number of his builds.

Another option is Jim Kobe in Minneapolis, he does about 4-5 barrels a year for me and his work is great and his schedule is usually far more open than most. His work, turnaround and prices are all great.

Long story short: There are a bunch of great options.

Randy is building me a rifle right now and has been a pleasure to deal with. Can't wait to get it in and experience it first hand.

That being said, I've seen some of Jim See's work on here and it looks awesome as well! WI is truly a blessed state when it comes to accurate rifle smiths!

And then there is the cheese! I like good cheese!

Yes the cheese! Don't forget the Pack! And yes, we brew some of the world's finest beer up here behind the cheddar curtain!
