Looking for a good gunsmith in Houston, TX area

Have an older Parker Hale sporter that I'd like to get pillar bedded.
Can anyone recommend a good rifle gunsmith in the Houston area?

I dont know of one in houston, but i know of a very good one up out of the ft worth area. I use him for all mine, ship my guns to him. Well worth it.

If it's a mauser , it should have the factory steel recoil lug in the front and a steel bushing in the tang .

Pete Pieper did some work on the rifle a couple of years ago. He bedded the action and floated the barrel.

Finally found a load that works well and also learned that it shoots better off a sandbag than a lead sled.

Found a good video about pillar bedding the rear trigger guard screw on Mauser actions. (see link below) It was easy and inexpensive to do and the results well worth the effort.

When you pillar the rear, make sure that the bolt has at least .030 clearance. You can do the same thing with JB.
