LOOK WHAT I JUST GOT!

I just bought these from a long time friend who stopped shooting Benchrest quite a while back.

His specialty was 30 caliber bullets to use in HBR, but he also made a great 6mm bullet on these dies.

As you can see, they are a set of Rorschach Carbide Bullet Dies. These dies make the same bullet as the Watson and Fowler Bullets that many of shot for years, basically a 7 1/2 ogive straight shank bullet with a body diameter of .2430 to .2431.

He still had all of the original paper work when the dies were made.

I can’t wait to set them up. I have acquired (traded for), a case of J-4 .825 jackets and 5000 hood cores which will be here Monday.
I am now set up to make my 112 grn 30 caliber bullets, 103 grn 6mm boat tails, and now these.

I guess that going to the shop or the boat yard is out of the question now that you have all of these bullets to make?
No, I am still in the “salt mines” so to speak. Business is actually pretty good.

My birthday is tomorrow. These dies were sort of my birthday present.

I’m now going to have to get used to ”being in my mid 70’s”.

Welcome to the mid 70's group.
After you get to the mid 70's, are you a ''Seasoned Citizen'' or forever relegated to ''Old Fart'' status?

Happy birthday , I know how you feel ,I will be 71 this month.

Happy birthday and best wishes with the new equipment.

I'm 74 and qualified for "OLD FART" status when I turned 70. :(

While I still enjoy shooting and varmint hunting, I definitely have lost some eye / hand coordination and don't shoot anywhere near as good as I use to. But at my age, as long as I'm in the game I'm grateful. I've lost a lot of good fellow shooting buddies, so I try not to waste any days.

Happy Birthday Jackie. Y'all make me feel young only 69 here. You still have time to start a bullet making business!!!
