ok thanks good information.I just bought a second Marksman. The first lasted 6 years until the camera failed. The latest unit is a significant improvement in image quality and battery life. They’re easy to setup and the app is intuitive with a lot of functionality.
No need to tape holes, the app has a function that allows users to mark hits on the viewing screen.Had one, sold it to buy a ShotMarker. Only problem was the fact that at some point you had to go downrange and either tape you hits or put up a new target.
They have added this since I had one.No need to tape holes, the app has a function that allows users to mark hits on the viewing screen.
I have heard of guys using them at 2 miles. Just what I have heard.!I got one used off a member, it works great! I only use mine at 1000, so not sure the real range on it.
I tested mine at over two miles when I first bought it. The picture at 2+ miles looked just like it did at 15'.I have heard of guys using them at 2 miles. Just what I have heard.!
At what distance(s) please? The small handful of long range match shooters at our club almost all have a Longshot, including myself. We all bought these around 2 years ago. The best feature for us is there are no issues with the receivers connecting to the wrong camera by accident. When we all had the Bullseye cameras, that was a big issue, to the point that some people couldn’t use their cameras.
When using the Bullseye I brought a tablet to the range because the picture wasn’t that good. When a shot went into the solid blue region around the 9-ring, you still couldn’t find it with the Bullseye and using a tablet. With the Longshot, I just use my iPhone - the picture is great, and no problem seeing holes in the darker areas.
Only what’s on their web site…Have you guys heard anything about the ranger and ranger + versions that are coming out? I'm in the market for a target camera. The longshot marksman only goes to 300 yards for $449. The ranger+ can go-to 1000yards and is only $399
I'm at a new club that has targets at 100, 200, 300, and 500. I'd like to start doing load development longer than 100 yards and it sure would be nice to be able to track my shots on a screen
These matches and my experiences with the camera are only at 400-600 yards. You’ll have to rely on some others here for the longer ranges. At what distance(s) please?
