Longshot Camera System -- How Well Does It Work?

Was wondering if anyone on here might have used, or are using a Longshot camera system? I wanted to know about the clarity of the picture on the tablet and any information you might be able to add about it. If you have the system, did you buy the Lenovo tablet that Longshot sells as a package, or did you buy one on your own?

Thanks for any information you might be able to provide.

Scott

I have a two Longshot Cameras and use them for my ELR shooting. They work great and let me know where I am hitting. The clarity is good and I can spot misses and impacts out to 2k yards.

Thank you so much, can you tell me what you are using to view the system on?

I use my iPhone to look at it most of the time unless I want to use my phone to run a Labradar, in which case I use an Android-based tablet I got for $50 from WallyMart. The picture is really good IMO, connection is easy, everything is a big improvement from a “Bullseye” model that I had before.

buy with confidence....I use my phone and it works very well, I'm sure a tablet would be even easier to see shots, i just haven't needed to bring another item to the range.

I pair both my iPad and iPhone to my Marksman. It has worked without any issues since 2018. Pic below is from the 2018 unit, suspect resolution has improved since then.

I use an iPad to view the images. The iPad screen can be tough to view in bright sunlight, but that is an iPad issue. A coat over my head solves the problem of bright light/glare.

But I would also look at the Shotmarker System and decide which is better for you. It uses innovative sensors on corner of target to mark spots and speed of your bullet.

Again, thank you everyone. I knew I could count on you guys to get info on this system. Also, thanks for the info on the shot marker system, I’ll take a look at it.

The Shotmarker speed is useless. It is not close to fps at the barrel and does not seem to be consistent. With that said, I have both the Shotmarker and a 300 yard Marksman camera system. The camera subsystem has work well out past 500 yards and is relatively inexpensive. The Shotmarker is a different animal and does much more.

I just looked at Shotmarker and it’s really not what I’m looking for. The Marksman will fit what I want very well. However, I do appreciate the information on Shotmarker. I use a V4 and just love it, so I’m sure that Shotmarker is very good.

Have a LongShot LR-3 system and really like it.
Specific pro's to it (from my own opinion/experience):
- battery life is fantastic. Have had mine on for up to 12-hrs and still had battery left.
- the camera unit clarity and zoom capability is superior to there older model, and better then any of there competitors systems that I have seen or used.
- tested the distance of mine to 4000yds (more then 2-miles) and likely would have reached further
- for under 500yds, don't even need to use the receiver
- the software is user friendly
Note:
This is the tablet that I bought and use with mine:

This is screen capture off iphone I use. They work so well at 1000 yards I still have bluetooth connection with transmitter even before I setup the receiver !
I set the receiver on the dash in my truck and don't take it out for 1K.

Is it bright enough on sunny days or does it need to be shaded?
