CLR will pull it all out as well Bro. No brush needed. Just patch it out and run some alcohol in behind it. Then run an oily patch thru it and dry it out with dry patches. Works great for me.

Ok here's what I figured out.
1st, I need to get a bore scope even if it is a cheap 1.
2nd, I believe carbon was a contributing factor.
We ran a 270 caliber bronze brush with losso followed with some patches. This pulled 50-60% of carbon out.
Then ran some Mothers mag wheel polish on the 270 brush this pulled another 25% of the carbon.

Since I got my borescope, and have been working with it on several high volume rifles, my cleaning regime has changed radically from what I was doing.

I found I was building up very little copper so I can back off on the Montana Extreme and the number of reps.

The focus has now become the carbon in the throat and first 6-7 inches of the barrel beyond the throat. A little Iosso on a nylon brush in that area and they are good.
