long or short action for 22-250 Rem?

Hi everyone, flexible here. Next year I'll be having an ultralight 22-250 Rem for informal target and varmint hunting.
Common sense says get a Short Action but I seem to remember an article recommending a Long Action.
It doesn't make sense but has anyone heard this?

The 22/250 is a pretty short cartridge. Can’t imagine what the thinking was to suggest a long action. Even with a 90 gr. bullet and a long throat, a short action would suffice.

You can load the heavies out as far as you want with long free-bores and still have room with a short action.

My 22-250 AI 1-7 fast twist I built for myself for 80s in a 700 short action, with SMKs set .003 off the lands, no problems at all with loaded rounds in mag length, extraction or ejection. So see no real reason at all for considering a long action.
