All of my 3x12 Burris EER's work very well out to 300 + yards, thats not a real long way off but not bad for a handgun.......

Brian - exactly what scopes and application are you asking about?

Most LER scopes I'm familiar with are made for handguns, except for a couple of low power "scout" scopes from Leupold and Burris which are intended for use at modest ranges.

If you are looking to add one to a handgun, they are capable of what ever your capable, the cartridge and gun are capable of doing, even at longer ranges-beyond 300 yds.
