Long Barrel 6.5x47

Anybody running a 32 inch barrel on a 6.5x47 and 140 bullets if so what kind of speeds are you getting. I have 2 barrels that will finish that long and was going to have them cut to 30 but I was going up see if anyone is running any that long. Thanks for any advice you can provide

put it together and try it and cut it back if you don't like it,,mine is 28.25 5R 8 twist Bartlien and getting over 3000 fps with 130 bergers,,


throat it long and gain powder space,,my 130s are seated to 2.812

I'm running a Krieger at 30" and the 140 VLD's are coming out at 2915-2930fps. Running 40 grains of 2209 ADI powder.

My next Krieger barrel which has been on order for 6 months, will be 32". I will be keeping it that long to see how it performs.

I use 32" barrels. You will tune around the same speed as you would with a 30", but pressure will be lower with a 32" barrel.

Mine run around 2,910 fps. with 139's.
