LOCK, STOCK and BARREL QUESTIONS

Lock, Stock and Barrel, Cody, Wyoming Is this the same company mentioned on this site in 2008 and 2009? A friend was satisfied with recent gun sales through them. Just trying to do my due diligence. According to their web-site they do a big volume. Any information will be appreciated, sales or purchases, delivery.
Thanks, George

FORUM Boss: I know the team that started the business. It was based in Simi Valley, California (Ventura County). One of the key admins, Spencer Hogland, decided to move to Wyoming with his wife and kids, And LS&B now runs most of its operations there.

Here is the web site: https://lsbauctions.com/
Spencer Bio: https://lsbauctions.com/our-staff/

TRIVIA— I first met Spencer when he was a young shooter in cowboy action competition. We would shoot at some ranges in Ventura County.

The Lock,Stock and Barrel that I remember was in Valentine, Nebraska on the west edge of town. Still miss them when I go by.

Yes. They are missed. Best pace ever. Was like taking a shopping cart through Brownells. Not putting things in a digital cart. Spent a lot of money there. Never heard of one in Cody, but now I’m going to look into it.

I believe they originally were just in California. They still have a location in California in addition to the Cody headquarters.

Still have some Hornady “Seconds” bullets from L.S&B in Nebraska. Loved the prices, and I got to try smaller quantities of bullets from various makers on my feeble Public Servant wages of the day.
I, too, will be checking out the Cody, WY, business even though likely to just study some eye candy.

Yes they were in Ventura County California for a very long time, They finally got out of there. They get top dollar most of the time because they have a large following, Give good descriptions and take lots of good photos. They sell things on consignment and they buy outright.

And they also come up with some very interesting pieces, A while back they had a Russian SVT-40 that was chambered in 303 British that was done by a company probably in the 70's that were sporterizing them and selling them as custom hunting rifles, Very cool. They had 2 of them that were the same.

I used them when I finally got rid of the last of my S&W 5-screw N-Frame collection.
They did a great job, got me top dollar and took care of everything with no stress.
I would highly recommend them.
FWIW,
Greg

I bought a gun thru them off gunbroker at the end of them being in California. Somehow on GB my profile had my local dealer as being a place 3 states away. LSB sent the gun to them as my profile showed. Not good for me. LSB paid the shipping the second time to get to me.
They made it right and made me a supporter of them
