Location of Seller for Trading

I haven’t been on these forums long only been reloading almost 2 years but have found and sold a few things to help guys out. I think if there was a category of state trading for face to face that would narrow down guys living close to each other they could be helping each other out better and not have to search everywhere. Thanks just a thought.

FORUM BOSS: We are NOT going to create a new Classifieds category just for Face-to-Face transactions. However we do suggest sellers list their location in their posts. In addition, Classifieds Rules require that all sellers disclose there name and full address on request.

Lot of Wisconsin guys on here, but we seem to be spread out through out the state. Guess the need determines the distance traveled. I tend to use a 100 mile radius, others may be prone to go farther.

The guys that run this site have enough to do now and adding a category would be a lot of extra work to make sure the posts are put into the right state section. They are overworked and underpaid. Thanks for all they do.

What would be nice is if those posting ads for components that cannot be shipped put their state in the title, e.g, ID, CA, NC, MT, etc. creates no additional workload for anyone except the person posting the add.

I agree with @PhilC . If the Seller , Trader , or Seeker listed their home state when making their initial post , it could facilitate the whole process without making more work for the Admin . Nope ....to simple , just couldn't work .

It should be mandatory to put your location in your profile. Its one of the first things I look at when looking at ads or even posts. All you have to do is click the bullseye or pic above the members name. I tend to be more trusting of someone's ad when they state where they're from and more so if their name is in there as well

Web master is busy enough without another section. How about just asking, in a ad, about a face to face in such and such state. Then the location/distance can be determined if it would be possible. ?

People need to put their location in their profile. Youre not hiding by not putting it out there merely inconveniencing people you want to deal with. The ones you think youre hiding from with a fake name and no location already knows who you are
