Local predator round up

Good turnout of hunters and trappers today at our sporting goods store for their first predator round up.
Over 90 cyotes, a few red and gray fox, and over 1000 lbs of coons.
DEER and small game will have it a little better this spring.
Hope this becomes an annual event.
All and all a good day spent with grate people.

Looks like there are some pretty good coyotes in there. I think to help small game populations there needs to be a bigger harvest of coons too.. You don't ever hear a grouse drumming around here anymore ..

Glad to see the management of these predators, here in ohio are small game is being wiped out by them. The coons are eating turkey eggs here and numbers have gone way down. We are starting to get a number of bobcats but dnr has them protected, they were going to have a trapping season but anti's stopped it. Deer in the area have declined a lot as well. Keep up the good work.
