loading 6.5 x 284 norma, on a single stage LEE , what is need to start, what dies do i need???

Welcome to AccurateShooter Miguel.

There are a ton of options for dies but for precision loading it is hard to go wrong with a good full-length sizing bushing die and a micrometer seating die.

There are many good such dies, I like Redding and Whidden but Forster, Wilson and others make great ones too. Another option would be to have custom dies made specifically for your chamber, Whidden is one company that makes such dies.

Here is a link to a set of Redding dies:

Hmmm. Not sure if this is a serious question but since you are a new user I'll treat it as if it is.

Independent of cartridge you seat a bullet using a seating die. So for 223, a 223 seating die.

If you are new to handloading, buy and read a reloading manual, any reloading manual, they all do a good job going through the basics.

Now if you come back and ask what die to use to seat a bullet for 308...:confused:

want to start loading 6.5 x 284 norma, on a LEE single stage, what dies are needed to start, need a good load.
Miguel, welcome to the forum. I used to shoot a 6.5 x .284 for F-Open several years ago. I no longer shoot it and have some dies for sale if you would like. I have the Redding combo 6.5 x .284 Type S F/L bushing die and Competition seating die. In addition, I have a Forster "Neck / Bump" bushing die. It will neck size only and push the shoulder back right at 1 thousandths.. I will sell them to you as a complete set. They are still in NEW condition.. You can PM me if you want to look further into this..

Sounds as if you are new to reloading. Make it simple. Purchase a Full Length Sizing Die, and a bullet seating die for the calibers you are going to re-load. As has been mentioned… get your hands on a reloading book and start reading. Forget about bushings, micrometer dies, foot lockers and phone calls. You can cross that bridge once you are comfortable.
