Loaded round length q's 20 PPC

Hi
What loaded round length are you guys using for the 20 PPC with the 39grn and 40grn projectiles??

I have a mag fed 6PPC that is just crying out to be made into a 20 PPC as a walkabout.

Justwondering loaded round length of 20 PPC V's 6PPC with 68's?

Everyone I know sets it so the bullet is firmly into the lands, therefor the actual cartridge length will depend heavily on the freebore length of the reamer you use. PPC is not a SAAMI cartridge,as far as I know), so there is no "min/max" specs for it. Every one does it a little bit differently.

HI
Well can I have the loaded length of a 20 ppc with the 39 BK or the 40 V-max inserted 1 Calibre length into the neck please??

Just trying to see if my 6 PPC rifle magazine is long enough.

THanks

Your magazine will definitely be long enough if you can fit a factory Sako 6PPC round into it. The 20 PPC will be shorter from my experience and every reamer print I have seen.

HI
Yes it's a detachable mag.
The action is a Sabbatti Rover SA in 6 PPC that I was going to convert into a 6.5 Grendel.
The magazine length is a little tight for the long 6.5 projectiles and reduces powder capacity to much.
I'm getting a ruger VT 204 barrel and going to re-chamber it to 20 PPC as I have a heap of PPC brass and 220 R brass and with a new bushing this will be a cheap conversion for me.

Mag capacity is 3 rounds.
