Load for 80 gr Berger

I am looking for a good load for 80 gr. Berger FB for a 6mmbr. The gun is a Trued 700 action with a 1x12 twist barrel. Thanks for any help.

My savage Pac Nor 6mmBR 8 twist likes the Berger 80's with 30 to 31.5 grains varget with bullet into the rifling, will consistantly shoot in the .3's to .4's for five at 100yds in good conditions

My Savage with a 12 twist likes the 80 Bergers over 30 grains of Varget with the bullet .005 into the lands

68 Bergers over 32 gr of Varget shoots pretty well also.

I have the same set up that you do. Mine likes 29.5 to 30.0 gr Varget. And CCI Br4 primers. If I do my part has shot in the 1's and 2's. Good luck

Mt Bullberry Encore likes the 80 Berger with 30.3 of Varget. I have gone as high as 32.1 but the .232 group shot at 30.3 makes me happy.:D

Lots of guys like Varget. Some of the old standby powders if you have any will do fine also. Check a Hodgdon Manual and pick up on H4895 and H322, a couple of great powders.

My favorite load for my 12 twist shilen is the 80 gr F.B. and 31.8 gr. of varget. This load shoots well with different seating depths and 30 to 32 grains of Varget. As already said this is a great bullet and a wonderful load.

31.4 N135 .015" into lands has shot really well out of my 8-twist PacNor 3-groove with the Berger 80s. It has produced a few High ones at 100, and regularly shoots under 1/2" at 200.

This is a super-accurate bullet. It has shot much better for me than the 75 V-max but every barrel is different.

Well finally shot the new rifle, only 15 rounds thru it, breaking in the barrel & workin on loads. So far I have loaded 30-30.5 N135 & Varget& Fed 205 primers both with the 80 grain Bergers .010 jump to the lands.Shooting .4 - .5 groups which is good for a varminter like me, just looking for a little more.Next step is primer change & seating depth changes. Are you guys having better luck with these bullets jammed?
