load for 6ppc

Hello just need to know a little more about reloading the 6ppc. I use vv n133 and people are telling me that i need to run hotter.I am now loading the max that VV.said we can run on the 6ppc.28.2gr n133.I had a guy tell me to load 29.5-30.2 he said the higher the pressure the less the temp. and humidity would effect it.

Mason, that may be true but your rifle has it's own hot load threshold. Rifles probably are as different in that respect as they are to obtaining the most accuracy from each. Work your way into the red zone alittle at the time and when you see it back up a grain and call that the max. load for your rifle. For safety's sake. Bill

Sure always safety first.I'm just learning the whole reloading for conditions thing.Its all new and hard to believe everything people tell you is true or not.My gun shoots OK were its at I just would like a little more out of it.It seems every 3 tenths I go up in the charge it shoots a little better.I just was thinking if that's max by the book that's it .And other people are telling me I can load much hotter.

What are the stats of the rifle? What action, barrel, And camber? Easier to give answer with these things known.

action SS.bat model 3L length 7.43" 1.55" round port length 2.7"shilen lv chamber ? Bob green done all the work.

I also have a sleeved rem 700 w/shilen HV.chamber? Bob white done all the work on rifle far as i know

Try starting at 28.5 and work up. Fairly tight neck tension unless you are using a boatail. What bullet are you trying?
Seat bullet to just touch to start. Find powder level it likes and then try bullet seating depth if more inprovement is needed.It should shootwell starting somewhere between 28.8 and 29.4 Good Luck

66 euber fb. 20thous. into right now 28.2 n133 behind it
rem 700.

The bat is not here yet. In your mind whats the best bullet out there.. I have only used the 66.euber and Bart's ultras 68.

Another thing where is the ogive.Some bullets have a double ogive Im lost I thought I knew the double just through me off.

Bullet depends on Reamer, Freebore,and rate of twist. If you know these things I might Have a suggestion. Double OOs are just that. They start at ogive at the base and change to another at some point on the bullet.

I would stick with 66-68 gr. Flat base bullets.
