load for 6br 8twist .237 bore diameter

What bullet?

If you're shooting the 103-107gr bullets start with Varget, Reloader 15, N150. With Varget, I recommend you seat .010 into lands and start at 28.5 grains Varget with naked bullets.

Most, but not all) people find they can load a little higher with Reloader 15 and N150. H4895 is also an excellent powder for the heavier bullets, but start at 28.0.

Be sure you read our 6BR Cartridge Guide: http://www.6mmbr.com/6mmbr.html

HI Garvel ...what ur tellin me is ...you havent pulled the trigger on that rig yet....because you gotta look to find something that "wont" shoot in a BR....like suggested ...go to the load section and "pik one"....the 6mmBr is one of the most versatile ctgs ever....just shoot max loads and jam the bullets....you will have good results...Roger

I have tried sierra 107 & sierra 95 both with varget. Shot fair with 107 loaded with 30.0 grains of varget and 205m primers. measured bullets both with a compartor and from base to tip, found alot of variances. Has anyone tried the bergers? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help Roger. I was seating bullets into lands. I found as much as .015s variance in bullets measuring off the ogive. Sorted bullets and shot a few groups . Would shoot three in a decent group an then get a couple of fliers. Gun is a new build everthing checks out fine, just doesn"t want to group to good @100 yds. I may be expecting to much. Just shot two groups, vertical in both . Measured around 5/8`s of an inch.

The 105 Berger VLD is a good place to start.
You will never get bullets to measure in the same ballpark when you measure to the tip of any of them. To much variance in the way the noses are closed...
Fifteen thousandths, .015) seems like a lot measuring off the ogive......
