Load Development

How often, and on what basis (ie; declining accuracy, round count, ...etc), do members conduct load development testing on a rifle?

@rwj
For myself, with my competition rifles, it is a never ending, ongoing continuation of testing, never really settling for nothing. With hunting/plincking rifles, typically just a one or two time deal, and call it good (same again if I try a component change).

For what use are you asking for?

When you find a load that your rifle likes and meets your needs stay with it until it no longer meets your needs, or you can not get the components. Barrels have finite lives and using up that life chasing perfection if you don't need to is a waste of time and money. Time you should spend practicing or competing, and money you need for your next barrel. Good luck.
