Load data needed for 156 berger 6.5x284

I'm headed down that road soon. I plan to start with loads from the now discontinued Sierra 155 Matchkings: 53.5 gr. IMR 7828 SSC or regular 7828 (which should fill the case more) and 54.5 gr. Reloader 26. Both will produce about 2875 fps (27" bbl.) with around 53-54,000 psi and work up a little from there if possible. Your starting point might be a little lower, depending on case brand and length of throat.

I am in the process of load development with the 153 atip in a 6.5x284 with re 23
51.2 grains is giving me 2830 in a 26 inch shilen barrel.. shooting good. Still have to see if it repeats itself.. 3 shots at 250

I am shooting these in my 6.5x47 Lapua suppressed. 39.5 grains H4350 .020 off the lands
Muzzle velocity is 2731.My extreme spread is 8.I have shot them out to 900 yards.I like this bullet has a nice pattern when hitting a steel plate. Also using Federal AR Match primers.

Do you plan to use them and if so, what advantages do you see?
I'm having trouble finding a use that is worth the time and expense of working up a load.
Thanks
Bill

That’s all I shoot in my 6.5x284 now
They perform better in wind than anything I have tried.
I mainly shoot steel at longer distances. Much better than the 140 hybirds for me, and I can push them over 3100 FPS if need be

I have had pretty good luck with the SMK150.
Thanks for your response, it is nice to have the opinion of shooters actually using a product.

Load the Berger 156 with 50.8 grains H4831SC, Lapua brass, Federal LR 210M, in a Savage 6.5 284, Bartlein barrel 1/7.5, and they are extremely accurate out to 880 so far. Muzzle velocity 2890, with under 10 SD at the target at 880. Not nearly as sensitive to seating depth as lighter Bergers, but I use .020 off.
