Load Data for 6mm PPC

sorry for thread interruptus, i know this is a 6PPC thread, but how much LT-32 can you get in a 6BR case that works with the 64- 68 class of bullets? freebore is .045". Western powders says 29.6 max, that charge did not work for me. there is a node at around 28.8 but it has been inconsistent. i have been struggling to get my 14 twist 6BR barrel to shoot consistently with Lt-32 and H322. i am in Florida in the heat.

So do you set your scope to shoot high, low, left or right of your aim point? And, how far from it?

On aim point. Set your rig up late in the afternoon or real early match morning either printing above or directly below the moth ball. I have my group form 6 o'clock one ring below moth ball.
The impact point will move during the course of the day just let it form where it will that relay.
Whatever you do dont click any right to left bias in your scope. Because when the reverse comes it hits you twice as hard.
If you wait for your condition and the group starts to form where it should keep shooting

How would this target score in a competitive match? I am new to this and have only shot this rifle four times. Really have no idea what is good or bad.

I would love to have shot this in a match .

As for aim point I aim at 12 o’clock on the mothball . That’s the Tony Boyer method I started using that aim after reading his book and have not looked back . I’ve tried to use a different aim point but can’t now . My brain want let me .

Butch, what do you aim at off you hit the line/aiming point at 3 or 9? Aim at the bullet hole?

My point of aim is either 3 or 9o'clock with my bullets impacting the center of the mothball. I would never aim at a bullet hole unless I have too hold over for a condition change.

You can do it that way. I’d suggest measuring an actual stand alone hole in the target paper/material that you are using and subtract that value.

Man, I know some people prefer it, but I just can’t stand for the POI to be below the POA. Gives me the heebie-jeebies.

I have found im more precise to use my dot to aim at the edge of the line especially when mirage starts. Once you get an aim point in your life dont change it or in the heat of the battle youll mess up. When your timer starts showing under a minute and you dont have but one in the record and have to hold off youre going to fall back on your training and habits

Since we got beyond casual shooting a ppc
It may be important to know a competitive ppc “Load” is so much more than powder charge or tuner setting
A gun that is truly in tune won’t be as effected by suttle or slight let ups pickups or angle changes.
A gun with the wrong seating depth selection may drill little groups in the calm of the morning but let the wind blow and any slight thing moves out a bullet hole. No amount of tuner twisting will help you then
Some may not agree but I’ve seen it and done it to many times.
When it’s in tune with the right seating depth and a gun capable of the task The thing will shoot thru stuff that is killing everyone else
You have to know what your gun is capable of when in proper tune and don’t accept anything less or your in the middle of the pack
Looking at those tiny groups the other guys are shooting in those horrible conditions and wondering how in the world they’re doing it

I shoot 6BR with n133 at 30grs
Lt 32 you need to start we’re your at and work up till you see signs of pressure or your gun starts to shooting little groups.
That always works for me the manuals are just a starting guide for us serious shooters.

Once upon a time my friend showed me a thread from Benchrest Central. It talked about tuning and told how many 1/10s of a grain of powder to add or subtract for every 5 or 10 degrees od temp change. Is that info still around? Is it for only N133 or will it work for other powders as well?

Every lot of 133 is different. I had some 2015 that was blanking primers at 29gr where lt32 could go 29.5 on the same day

i have a stoll lv with a 22 inch hart 1/14 barrel on it given loads i see here how fast are the bullets going with this n133 powder and a 68 grain bullet
