Hi
Looking for any load data for 6.5x284 cartridge using N140 powder
Rifle used will be Unique Alpine TPG 1 with a 26'' barrel with a 1/10 twist

Unique Alpine TPG 1
26'' barrel with a 1/8 twist
Bullet will be Amax 140 seated at COAL 3070
Please give a N140 load and fps for shooting out to 800-1100 meters

Thanks
Andy

Go to the hodgden reloading site as I believe they are the importers of this powder.

N-140 may be a little fast for the 6.5X284 with 140 class bullets. N-133 and N-140 should work great with 108 scenar bullets. I have a custom 6.5X284 hunting rifle that likes 46g of N-160 and 49g of N-165 with 140g Bergers and 139 Scenars just touching the lands. These are very moderate accuracy loads that I get around 2,800 fps, The Lapua website has load data for the N series powder. Good luck

Re-read your post question....first you said 10" twist then 8" twist. You'll want to narrow that down a bit for us. If it's a 10" twist, forget any 140s.

***WORK UP TO THESE LOADS***
QuickLOAD shows 44.5 gr. N140 to be a max load for 6.5-284 using 140 gr. Hornady AMax. Speed out of 26" barrel is 2,800 fps., again, this is MAX load! You must work up to it.

N550 would be a better choice for your gun. MAX load of N550 is 50.0 gr. with 140 gr. Hornady AMax, speed is 2,960 fps. from a 26" barrel.

Good luck!
