Load data ?? 223 Rem. with 75 gn BTHP's

Took a chance and picked up some 75 gn. BTHP. My loading manual lists 70 Gn Speer semi-SP, so I figure that the greater bearing surface of the 70 gn, should equal the + 5 gn. in bullet weight.

most are useing Varget.but I have found that IMR4007 shoots great for me with a 75-77gn bullet.matter of a fact I need to shoot a few loads that are looking good again.if you want to try it I started at 23.5 and worked up to 25.5 but kept the 24.5 load for right now.and thats with a 77gn NCC bullet.my rifel is all so a 1:9.

but you may all so want to try 8208XBR.it too really works great with a 69gn NCC in my rifel.haven't tried it yet with a 75-77gn bullet.worked up from 22-25gn but went with the 24.0 load with this powder.

but to really answer your question this is what I think most are useing with Varget.from what I can tell most are loading from 24-25gns of Varget with a 75 grain bullet.but I would load up from 23 and work up to 25/26gns looking for pressure signs.

H335,blc-2,ww748, and aa2230 all work real well. They all meter like sand and shot to shot the powder charge is usually right on using a throw type powder measure.

sorry about that.I must have been on something when I posted.forgot about others like what was posted.but will say that I have seen more use Varget than the others.heck just buy up a few boxs of the 75 grainers and put them to a test.thats with the poders choices you have.then you will know for sure which one your rifel likes.

sorry for the mind fart.
