Little Giant Ladder Stand

Was really board and had some spare plywood, swivel and seat.
I'm thinking this may work for those hard to see prairie dogs that are just out of sight from a bench rest.
Apologize for the terrible cell phone quality image..

I sat in it yesterday afternoon for while hoping a deer might step out.. it was plenty steady up near and "in" a tree between branches. I was going to use a branch off of the tree for a rest if I did see a deer. I've seen those Caldwell DeadShot Fieldpod that may incorporate well onto the platform..

Yes that foot rest is just that for feet..I put carpet on the wood and I had to grease the wood where it comes in contact with the aluminum. Really squeaky..

that big white thing in the picture. thats a good stable stand. very mobile also. many animals, in fact uncountable amount of game taken while hunting from such stands...

The only problem I see with using the Little Giant step ladder for a stand is the overall weight. I own an original Little Giant Ladder and the sucker isn't light. When you put a seat on top of it, you've got a lot of weight to move around. If you can get a truck close to where you're hunting I don't see a problem but I wouldn't want to carry that thing through the woods.

It is the older model Little Giant and it is heavier than the newer models.. it came with a "standing" platform that flips down. That might be good if using it when it's used as an extension ladder.

Good thought but the center of gravity (you) is way too high for the ladders footprint. It will tip over with you in it as some point.

I used the ladder stand yesterday evening. I put the "Little Giant" right beside a Callery pear tree ( wild Bradford pear / full of thorns / ouch) this "evasive" tree is growing right beside a fence on a Interstate ROW. This doe walked out and turned broad side. Only 60 yds away. She never knew I was "in a tree"..
