DASHER DOME
Gold $$ Contributor
Jason Wolf is the latest Nationals winner who has visited the Dasher DOME. Last week Jason
won the IBS 600 Yard Nationals.
Jason was traveling with a trio of shooters to the 1000 yard nationals in south Georgia the year that
Tom Mousel won it. King Richard has been to the DOME several times and wanted the guys
to stop and visit.

Tom Jacobs, Carroll Lance, and Jason Walker left Missouri and travelled over to Piedmont, N.C. to shoot at 600 yd match. Between the three of them they won a truck load of wood. Since they were on I-40 just east of Nashville they stopped by the Dome on Sunday afternoon for a full evening of shooting.
Jason won 600 yd Nationals two weeks later and Tom won Shooter of the Year.
Carroll Lance won a IBS 1,000 yard Nationals last year in Montana.

Bart Sauter, BARTS CUSTOM BULLETS lives about 90 minutes north of the DOME. Bart shot the
all-time smallest group @ 600 yards in a match at Memphis, TN. 0.3xx inch.
Bart was also Shooter of the Year in 2018 and the last time I checked he was leading the
points race this year.

King Richard needs no introduction. Winningest career in IBS 600 and 1,000 in history.
Multiple 600 Nationals winner, I know at least one 1,000 yard IBS Championship, and
a few S O Y wins.

James Phillips is a frequent visitor to the DOME. James set 4 IBS 600 yard records
and like Schatz was a early on pioneer of the 600 yard venue.

The Missouri guys visit was classic.
Junebug had just recently shot a quarter at 800 yards
using 103 Vapor Trails. The write up on Accurate Shooter
got Boyd Allen's attention and he got in on the Bulletin Board.
Tom sent some tee shirts to us and got some publicity out of
the Bulletin Board feature.

This was the perfect opportunity for the maker of the bullet and
Junebug to meet face to face.
That is the actual quarter with a clean hole punch

Here are some pics of the DEAD ZERO guys at the DOME, and up on Rocky Top at the 2000 yard line. Best I remember they shot 2080 yards that day with two 300 Ultra Mags.

And at the DOME, that looks like Junebug's 338 Improved.

Help me out Troy.
Both their 300 Ultra Mags shot great at the 2080 line.
As I remember Troy and Elaine came back again and went up on Rocky Top and
only had enough moa for 1200 yards.

Pilot is David, they both were shooting 300 ultra mags pushing 215 hybrids! I had a 8x32 nxs on my 338 edge and the 50 Moa rail hadn’t come yet so I couldn’t reach. Good times with good friends, guys if you get the chance go shoot the Dome! Randy is a top shelf host and I guarantee you will have fun!!!

Thanks Troy. I went back and edited original post.

Brian Bowling brought a 416 Barrett factory rifle to the Dome two years ago. He came back two weeks later with a Barrett rifle in 308 along with his F-Class competiton rifle which at the time was chambered in a 6 mm, TAC-40. I believe this year he won with his on spin off a 284 Shehane, maybe with a 40 degree shoulder.

Brian won this years NRA Open F-Class National Championship in Raton
