Lilja Barrels

Hi, for my .223 rem project based on a Sako L461 action I first decidet to use a barrel from a danish manufactor Shultz & Larsen, mainly because they cut there barrels, but the delevering time is too much for my patience, so I have been looking at Lilja, but there barrels are button-riflet, if Im not wrong.

Does anybody in this forum has any experience with Lilja barrels in chrome-moly ??

I haven't shot a chrome moly barrel in years but my Lilja SS barrels are superb.

If you do order one from Lilja, you'll want to look at the "special" contours for your Sako. 1.050" at the breech has been a perfect fit for my Sako actions.

I wouldn't worry about cut vs. buttoned. I've yet to see anything definitive about one being better than the other.

I bought two barrels from Lilja recently. Both took around 8-10 weeks to deliver. The last one just shipped this week. These will be my first, so I can't give any personal recommendations.

You might also look at Lothar-Walther. I believe they are hammer forged. The USA rep said that they'll guarantee the accuracy of their barrels. I'm not sure if they have the same guarantee on your continent. It might be worth considering if you're really impatient, as I think they keep an inventory.

I love my Lilja barrels. They are scarry accurate and they clean easier than any barrel I have owned.

Thank´s for the answers guy`s, one of my friends has an Norweigian contact who stock`s some Lilja barrels, I´ll see if he has something interesting.
