Lightest sporter stock on the market

Looking for the lightest stock i can get for hunting rifles. I see that the kimber adirondack is like 4lbs- how is that even possible? Looking for somebody to make me some carbon fiber stocks or something. Lighter than a mcmillan edge fill if possible.
 
When I built my ultra lite in the early 2000's the lightest stock I could find I think it was called a lone wolf. It weighed 12 oz. But I didn't like the design. They also had one that weighed 16 oz. I went with a Brown Precision that weighed 16 oz. I had to cut it off in the forearm to make it look right for a 20 in. bbl and when I was done, painted bedded etc. it weighed exactly 16 oz. It was called a Kevlar pounder.

I just checked they still make that stock. Listed weight is 15-17oz. Price looks to be a little under $600.

My Titanium Pierce will get a Brown pounder with extra kevlar for additional stiffness. I have several on builds.
 
No budget. It is what it is. That being said im not gonna give $2k for one but ive never had a problem buying a $1500 scarbrough. Its just all in what it is.
 
High Tech makes a very light stock with a Remington VS barrel contour. Incredibly light weight stock. Brownells used to carry them. Quite reasonably priced in today's market. :D:D

Well 4 years ago when i was asking i was building ultralight rifles on the old proof barrels when they were kriegers. After this post i used a brown pounder. Something happened with brown prec so i went back to using AG composites. You can get mcmillan edge fill stocks that are pretty light but the smaller stocks cant hold a big barrel. Who wants a sporter flyweight stock with a sendero or mtu taper barrel in it right? So i just use AG stocks for my light builds now on carbon barrels
 
Might try MPI. The old man died a few years ago and his daughter runs it now. They will do custom work. If you get an unfinished stock it will be just that...unfinished. If you want it ready to go they do that also. I give this warning because guys buy an unfinished stock and then bitch about how much work it takes to fit it and finish it. http://mpicustomstocks.com/

Why change from AG???
You know that AG is probably one of the best lightweight CF stocks on the market with the best warranty and service in the market. Although the sporter stocks are 22-24oz., you could drill out the forearm and/or butt to further reduce weight and they would still be as strong as anything out there.

I just ordered the new "Chalk Branch" from AG. Vertical grip style that I like and only 27oz.
