Light weight rings and base for a sheep rifle

I am looking for recommendations for light weight rings and base for my sheep rifle.
1” scope mounted on a Remington. 700 chambered in 7-08 AI
Anyone have experiance with light aluminum rings and base?

I like Talley lightweight rings, but I've only used them on light-recoiling varmint/medium game rifles in 22BR and 6BR. The integral base/lower ring means fewer screws to come loose, and they come in a wide range of ring heights to keep your scope as low as possible for rapid target acquisition. Below is a pair of them on a Kelbly Atlas Tactical. Scope is Leupold 3.5-10x40. The other rifle is a 6BR with a Stiller PredatorV and a Sightron 6.5-20x42.

These are Talleys. I will put them in the mill some day and lighten then a little more if I get real bored.

I would go with the Talley just like what everyone said. It’s probably the only thing that we all can agree on. In the 30mm med height weight only 3 once if I recall correctly. I have never had one problem with them. I own 4 pairs. Good luck with your new build.

Same here. Talley lightweight. They also make a 20moa set if you want that. And, they'll do the different screw threads.

I have the one piece talley lightweight on one rifle then i have the little bases and dovetail rings (talley exclusive fit) on a dakota and i think theyre lighter than the one piece.

Talley extra low will work with that scope if you have a lower combed stock. Talley lows are about like other brands mediums. It just depends on how you like your head to be positioned.
