This is a stock that was supposedly done on RVA’s CNC machine. Very poorly done,,, at best. And yes he opted to fix it. But why wasn’t it done correctly the first time.

Just to make it clear this was Not done on a CNC machine....I know because I was there...and can I ask why it matters what it looks like on the inside if the gun shoots...I have some that aren't Pretty on the inside from other makers and shoot lights out...could care less about looks of inside and didnt complain or throw anyone under the bus about it....It is a shame to see this come around to a really good guy and yes friend of mine...This is truly a shame for a guy who is willing to help out anyone and do what it takes to make things right....

What else would you expect, I've seen people bash hall of fame shooters/ gunsmiths here because they didn't answer there phone calls, and then kiss there butts at a match. its come to be expected..

I think the real issue is that everyone has champagne taste with beer budget and can't afford a Cerus stock and want someone to make them one like it in a month and then complain about it. I noticed no-one asked or said what these stocks cost them to be done???? guaranteed the clear coat cost more then a stock made, inlet, and bedded did..

thanks Ccrider The same guy that all the Monday morning quarter backs here at talking trash about, I did the clear. OH and it shoots lights out so go figure>>>>> its amazing how much trash talking the Benchrest community talks about one another. No wonder when I discuss with a good friend out west about building short range actions along with there f class actions they say no thanks because BR guys are all cry babies, well now I see what they are talking about..I started shooting in 2023 and Chris has always been there for some advise and oddly enough,, not a single person talking crap about him will never win as many matches and championships as he has, oh yes with his own stocks and his own chambers, and bullets..I have been shooting his stock he built for me in 2024 and I have won several matches and always very consistent top 5, he has also built his daughters gun that won a ton of matches and beat up on some of the top shooters on this site, last years IBS rookie of the year shot his rifle build, Rookie of the year runner up shot his rifle build as well. oh and the 300 yard national champion, 3 place 100-200 yard champion, shot his builds. and his bullets. so just believe the targets. check points, if they were 1 tenth as bad as the nay sayers here then how do they always shoot????
And just remember that the trash talking about each other here is why this sport is losing steam and why new shooters would rather shoot PRS and F-class, at least those guys are always supporting each other and helping one another, id be afraid to shoot with any of you guys paired up with me keeping score. sadly some of you will have the guts to face him at a match and be like oh hey buddy,, and some of you that are talking still shooting his bullets.... amazing just amazing... like I said misery loves company and there is a lot of that here...

It was you that disengaged the parking brake and threw the bus in gear, so I guess I'll drive.
RVA was paid to do the job right the 1st damn time, yet I'm cleaning up the mess, just as someone else had to clean up @SRT8 rifle.
This isn't trash talking its cold hard facts, so no I would never recommend RVA to cut me anything other than fire wood, and even then I'd be worried it wouldn't fit in the stove.
So keep thumping your chest and making excuses for poor workmanship, because thats all anything youve had to say is.
To get back to the OP's question where should he get a light varmints stock.
