No experience with a spring yet but if a primer hits the floor here in N C it can most likely be found somewhere on the West Coast.

To be fair, this powder measure return spring has been in service for decades with likely 150K pistol rounds loaded on this Pro-1000.

One day, I was struggling a bit to install a spring into a spring/air pellet rifle. This was something I normally would never touch but I always made exceptions for kids. Anyway, one of my customers was watching my efforts and finally asked if he could try. I told him to go ahead and stood back. He bent to the task and pretty soon he had the spring seated and had started the cap. He stepped back proudly and I stepped forward to have a look; just in time to see the cap fly off. That is, I think I saw it. Visible or not, it hit me right between the eyes, though a tad high. I didn't go down, but I may have staggered a bit. The trickle of blood was easily stopped with a Band-Aid. The bump went away with time. WH
