Light bullets in a 6.5 CM?

I have some 85 grain bullets on the shelf collecting dust. Anyone ever shot something this light in a Creedmoor? I haven't found any load data for bullets this light but thought it might be fun to try them and if they shot good should be he11 on coyotes.

The lightest 6.5 Bullet that, I've shot was, 123 grain ( Shot very Well ) and Now, I predominantly shoot 130 gr ELD-M's for, L- R Steel Plate, accuracy ( and, a Possible, stray Coyote ). I use, the 143 gr ELD-X's for, Deer / Antelope and, Close up shots, ( under, 500 yds,.. on Elk ).
Years Ago, I shot 110 gr Hornady H-P's in a .270 Weatherby @ 3,500 FPS and they WERE,.. "Messy" !
Neck - shoulder area, on Yotes had, "Pie Plate" sized Exits with Stew Meat and Fur thrown for, 15-20 Yards behind them. Hope your 85 grainer's, shoot "Well" for, you !
Have Fun !

The 130 gr. ELD-M's shoot from, the .3's to 1/2 MOA for Me, with 43.3 grains of, StaBall 65 Powder ( thrown chg's ) and F-210-M Primers, in Peterson or, Lapua Brass. ( COAL 2.835" )
It's my most accurate Load, in my Braked, 24" Tikka T-3X, SS Rifle W/ an Elay Precision, 1.25 Lb Trig. Spring.
The 130's Have, very Little, Recoil, in a sub 8 pound, BRAKED,.. rifle.

i have shot them in 6.5x284---explode varmints like a 50 gr out of a .22-250
-cant remember speed, but FAST!

My 20" Savage 6.5CM shoots 85gr Hammer Hunters to 3431 fps using StaBall MATCH. I shot a buck in OK a couple years ago with great results.

Any suggestions on powder? Hodgdon only has one powder and it actually for the 260 and its A2700. VV150 is the next closest in burn rate. And as luck would have it I have neither powders. I know, start low and work up, I just don't know what to start with.

Yes I have played with my R P R shooting 85 gr. Sierra HP with Hodgdon 4350 running in the low threes getting 1 inch groups at 100 yards , would suggest working loads up slow .

You might want to try the Sierra 107 match king in your 6.5cm. I shoot steel and paper out to 1600 yds. So awhile back I mistakenly bought a 100 CT box of them. Then I found a load on here

Try the Sierra 107 match king. 40.5 of H4895, CCI 450, FC cases, seated to a col of 2.792. I shot them to 1600 yds, 60.00 moa of up , 1400 yds, 46.50 moa of up. Wind was lite and variable...

I put together an AR10 in 6.5CM last year with he intention of it being a varmint rifle. I had 95 gr V-Max and 105 gr BK. Started load development using 8208, RL15, H4350 and RL17 but then life got in the way. So, inconclusive at this point. Need to get back at it.

Would highly recommend trying 8208 XBR under light bullets in the 6.5 CM. I use a load in the ballpark of 39.5-40.0 gr under the 95 Vmax, that makes around 3150 fps. It shoots very well and is low recoil.
