LGS/Pawn shop has Rem 7.5!!!

Course, they want $200 a brick for them. Fed AR match primers were $220!!

Wonder how long they will last or even if they will sell them at all. Friend was in yesterday and pick up 1000 Fed 205m for $40, said they had one brick left. Well, that other $40 brick was long gone, only the $$$ left.

We had our local gun show today (this weekend). There were several bricks of primers available, LR and LP for $175-250 a thousand, SR for $250-300 a thousand and SP for $300-350 a thousand. I don't want any of them bad enough to pay that kind of prices for them. I can remember paying around $8-9 a thousand for the same stuff.

Rem 7-1/2BR are my go-to , but I'd sell my rifle before I'd pay that . Hope he gets to eat them . Just my opinion . Fair market ? Not even close , but there's probably some dumb-ass out there that will pay it .Bruno's got some 205M's in and sold them for $125.00 - per thou , to walk-ins . High , but in this climate , THAT is fair market value , in my mind .

fair market value depends on what they paid for them. If you found out Brunos was marking up 100% would that be fair market, how about 200% or 300 % ? When does fair market value stop and price gouging start? We have 2 local stores one is $7 per sleeve, the other$7.50

Old saying. "There's a sucker born every day and two to take him".
And the folks that are jacking up the price 200% or 300%? They are at the top of my S**T list!!
These folks ARE NOT your shooting buddies. Remember them and keep your hand on your wallet and don't turn your back on them.
But if you want to pay their price, don't say you wern't warned.

This situation is an intentional created distraction. While gun owners are preoccupied with ammo and component and firearm searches, democrat legislation is moving to take your guns. When Washington Marxists, Socialists legislate the bill of rights away, and take away state legislative voting laws all the ammo, reloading and firearms will be meaningless. Confiscation follows, this is how it went down in Europe and all socialist, communist countries.

I expect prices to rise, moderately because of increased supply cost. When you get above a 50% increase though it causes my blood pressure to raise. To give the benefits of the doubt it could be some retailers got behind on their loan payments during the shutdowns. Other retailers are close to or still at pre shortage prices and I shop for the best bargains close pre shortage prices. I was lucky enough to score some powder from PV last week and price was pretty darn close to pre shut down. Another online retailer had their powder marked up over 25%. Both are large scale operators buying direct. Guess who I bought from, guess who I will not buy anything from in the near future.

If I found out Bruno's was marking up 200 - 300% ; I'd be rather disappointed in Lester , and probably not do anymore business there . As I said in another topic along these lines , they get some items , and "mark-up" to cover the higher price "They" have to pay . Your response left the highly un-fair impression that Bruno's was gouging , at least that's the way I read it , when they are not . I'm happy you are able to get some items at excellent price-point in your area from one isolated supplier , however the worlds just a little bigger than that , and the rest of us have to make our purchasing decisions based on what's available , and what the current going "market value" for that item is . It becomes a personal choice as to whether we , as individuals will pay that price . Also taken into account is that since the Phoenix area is the literal Mecca of F-Class in this country , we will have a greater number of shooters here , placing a higher demand on available goods , there-by having to deal with , generally speaking , higher prices across the board . So ; what may be considered "Gouging" in your area , is going to be considered "Fair market value" in my area . I don't hear any of you guys Bitchin about the price of gasoline going up forty to sixty cents a gallon since Bi-Dumb walked in the door . And it will be going higher than that already 25 - 35% increase . The gas increase is relative to where you live , just as component increase is , partially based on demand . Fair market value is what someone is willing to pay for any goods , or services . $125.00 / thou for 205M primers is considered fair market value , at this time , in this area . A year ago , it was GOUGING !

My feeling is I only have to look at the going prices, when available, for powder and primers(very seldom seen) on powder valley, grafs and midsouth. PV in particular has been exceedingly modest in their prices through this mess. Of course, overhead varies and we should expect some variation in pricing, but not 200 or 300 percent. Just my opinion.

By passing along any cost increases and sticking to their normal markups PV and others have solidified my purchasing support in the future.

and you know this how? Are you their accountant ? Or just want to think the best of a dealer that you have dealt with for years?

It is not just one store in my area that have primers below $10 a sleever it is two. One of which I always thought was a bit high at 5 - 6 dollars a sleeve even years ago. Others posters on here have also posted that local suppliers selling primers for far less than 12.50 per hundred.

Kind of like the powder I bought last week, Powder Valleys price was same as 2019 prices, another large supplier's powder was priced 30% - 40% higher than pre covid prices. As I stated in my post I do expect most items to go up 10 - 15% due to increased raw material costs however going from $35 a sleeve to $125 a sleeve seems a bit of a stretch

Am I their accountant ?......Wow . That was a bit snarky . No ; I'm not their accountant , but You apparently don't know Lester ,; his Son , or Granddaughter who work in their store daily . I consider them to be honest people trying to keep their business , in business through this whole mess . And I also consider them to be friends , who would not lie to me . I come from a background , and was raised to take a man's word for something till he proved I couldn't . That was amplified in the military ; through Airborne and Spec Ops training , where you learned the Character , Honor , and Integrity of the people you were serving with . As we all knew we were going to Nam . I may not be a perfect judge of people , but I do know ; for the most part , when I'm being lied to . It's sad that there are those with such a negative outlook towards life , that they think everyone is out to screw them . Even those they might consider to be friends .

And I also consider them to be friends , who would not lie to me .
thanks, that answers my question. To be fair though Bruno's may have bought from someone on GB or whatever just to have something to sell. I have no clue but I am aware that other smaller outlets are selling a lot closer to pre panic prices. I can guarantee one thing though, big Al ( not his real name) the local guy is making a profit selling primers at $7.50 a sleeve. I have been dealing with that guy for 20 years now and his prices are always on the high end for everything. About the only time I buy there is impulse items, but it is a great place to browse

Yesterday I was shopping online for 100 Lapua 7.62 x 39 for forming into 6ARC with LRP's. Most places did not have any 7.62 x 39 instock at all but three had Lapua. Prices varied on the same brass, so why was one supplier charging 80, the other 105 and the third 140 ? No idea but I bought the $80 ones
